WeHo Pedals is continuing to expand the system’s reach – giving you more places to ride and explore! We’re proud to announce the installation of two bike stations at one of the most popular retail and entertainment complexes in Los Angeles – The Grove.

Users can now park WeHo Pedals bikes at two new stations at The Grove.

WeHo Pedals is the perfect way for shoppers and employees to get to and from The Grove or to The Original Farmers Market. The two new stations are located on the southeast corner of Farmers Market Place & Gilmore Lane (Barneys NY) and on the northeast corner of Gilmore Lane & 3rd Street (Topshop Topman). Both stations have a combined total of 26 racks, making it easy and convenient to find or park your Pedals bike when visiting The Grove or The Original Farmers Market.

Since our launch in August 2016, WeHo Pedals has positioned 150 self-service “Smart Bikes” at 20 stations throughout the West Hollywood region, enabling car-free commutes and affordable short trips to places that you want to go to. Tell us a bit about yourself, David.

I’m a British artist. I came out here a few years ago, with a view to leaving within a few months, and that still hasn’t happened – so I guess I like it here.

How long have you lived in WeHo?

I’ve been in WeHo since I got to LA, so almost 3 years now. I keep toying with the idea of trying a new neighbourhood but I can’t leave the convenience of this area quite yet.

How long have you been a WeHo Pedals Bike Share member?

About 8 months (I think), so I was one of the first members when it was introduced.

How has Pedals changed the way you get around?

Most of my day-to-day life happens in a 5 mile radius of my home, so it’s made journeying around a lot quicker, cheaper and less stressful. I save money on gas, parking and it means I’m regularly being active.

What’s your favorite place to ride?

SMB down to Beverly Hills is great. There’s also a bike lane for a lot of that stretch which makes things a lot easier.

And your favorite local spot you love to recommend?

I can’t recommend The Den Meditation on La Brea enough. It’s my happy place.

What would you tell someone thinking about joining WeHo Pedals Bike Share?

Just do it! There’s literally no reason not to. It’s cheap, it’s simple and it gives you a chance to get around the city without adding to the smog. Driving is such unnecessary stress in LA and WeHo Pedals is a great alternative.

WeHo Pedals Is Bringing You More Places to Pedal!

See the expanded system area at

We’ve expanded the WeHo Pedals system area giving you more places to explore while you Pedal! The system area now goes further along Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards and includes a drop zone at Runyon Canyon, making those previously expensive out of system area stops easy and affordable.

The City of West Hollywood launched WeHo Pedals in August 2016. WeHo Pedals offers 150 “Smart Bikes” at stations throughout West Hollywood, enabling car-free commutes and affordable traffic-free short trips around town and now into the heart of Hollywood!

You can now use WeHo Pedals to cruise the Hollywood Farmers’ Market on Sunday or take in a show at the Pantages Theater. Simply find the nearest bike rack and lock up your Pedals bike for a $2 fee. Remember, you can always put a bike on hold (for up to 60 minutes) if you’re not ready to end your reservation.

If you’re more interested in fitness, then Pedal on over to Runyon Canyon where you can lock up at our new drop zone for free. Now, instead of having to search for parking you can get right to your hike!

Westside Rides Regional Integration

coming soon

Hey WeHo Pedalers!

We’re excited to tell you about our progress regionally integrating the Westside Rides System.

We’re using the latest technology to develop a Westside Rides network — so you’ll be able to use your WeHo Pedals bike share membership whenever you are in Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, or at UCLA (launching fall 2017).  Your ride time will carry over to whatever Westside Rides city you are riding in, and you’ll even be able to lock up in these other systems without paying the $20 Out of System fee!

We can’t wait to launch this state-of-the-art bike share network, bringing together the cities of Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, and West Hollywood with better bike share for all.

Stay tuned for more status updates of this regional integration!
